Q. A penis is mostly made up of erectile tissue, enabling it to become bigger, harder and more sensitive (engorged). Do women have erectile tissue?
A. Yes. Not only do they have it, women have the exact same kind of erectile tissue as men do.
Q. Do woman have a) less erectile tissue than men, b) more erectile tissue than men, or c) the same amount of erectile tissue as men?
A. Women have the same amount of erection equipment as men do. Pound for pound, inch for inch, women have just as much as men, it’s just arranged differently.
Q. Women’s erectile tissue is located a) in the renowned and ultra-sensitive clitoris, b) in a number of different interconnected but separate genital structures, c) in other yummy body parts, such as the nipples, lips, earlobes and nostrils, or d) all of the above.
A. All of the above. Women have an Erectile Network — a system of genital structures, including the well-known head of the clitoris (but that’s just the tip of the volcano). There’s much more! And we all have erectile tissue artfully arrayed around our bodies.
Q. All female orgasms require and result from clitoral stimulation. True or False?
A. False. Women can be orgasmic from a variety of types of stimulation of different parts of their erectile network as well as from indirect non-genital stimulation. Usually, the sweetly sensitive bud of the clitoris is involved but doesn’t always require direct attention—although that’s often appreciated.
Q. Is the G-spot real? Do all women have a one?
A. Yes and yes. It’s one part of the Erectile Network and it’s standard equipment. But it’s not a spot—so that name is misleading. Also known as the urethral sponge, it’s a cylinder of erectile tissue that surrounds the urethra (the pee tube). It’s located above the roof of the vagina and can be felt through the upper vaginal wall. With stimulation, it swells just like any other erectile tissue does. When erect, it feels like a spongy ridge or crest that runs along the mid-line of the vaginal roof. Other names for this structure are the urethral sponge, the female prostate, the Goddess spot, the squirt tube, the G-crest and the ridge.
Q. What’s all this stuff about squirting? Is female ejaculation really real?
A. Most certainly! Although only a small percentage of women profusely ejaculate naturally, all women can learn to do so, if they want. Squirting is a learnable skill!
Q. There is more to the female Erectile Network then the clitoris and the G-spot (aka the urethral sponge). True or False?
