The Story Behind The Center

The Center for the Intimate Arts was born in the heart and mind of its founder, former nurse-practitioner-midwife, Sheri Winston. In her decades of clinical and counseling work, predominately with women, she became sadly aware of the great need that we have in our culture to heal our sexuality and learn to utilize our full sexual potential.

Ten years ago, Sheri retired from birthing babies and began to birth a new vision. The core ideas of an integrated, healthy, deliciously pleasurable and ecstatic model of sexuality became the Wholistic Sexuality paradigm. As a life-long educator, she developed a curriculum based on that vision, an ever-expanding set of classes that cover a wide spectrum of learning needs about sexuality, intimacy, women's health and relationships. In 2008, Sheri established The Center for the Intimate Arts as the next step in the evolution of her vision.

We are rapidly expanding our offerings and activities. Projects in the offing include DVDs, online classes and more.
